Adoption, Both Hands, James 1:27, Orphans, Widows -

We are in the middle of the adoption process. It's both exciting and overwhelming! We look forward to having a child in our home to love and to raise. Before my husband and I met, we both had an interest in international adoption. We expected to have a few kiddos of our own and then to adopt. But, after several years of marriage and no kids - we decided that it was time!  As we searched different adoption resources, we were excited to come across a fundraising ministry called Both Hands. The concept is one hand for an orphan and...

Bible translation, John 3:16 -

Have you ever stared at the Bible section in a book store or scrolled online and you can't decide what translation to go with or even which style of Bible? There are so many Bible options nowadays! While tears were shed, there was a lovely celebration of life, as well. 95 years of a kind, honorable, and family-oriented man is a lot to celebrate! During the funeral service, several Scriptures were read. I was asked to read some of Paul’s words in Romans. While death seems so final, we can remember that life remains…just not a life we fully understand nor will experience it ourselves. What joy there is in that! Romans 6:4 says: “Therefore, we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ...

Bibles, Faith, Reinvent -

After six and half years, I did it! I resigned from working at a corporate company. While I learned a lot and had potential to have a strong career in corporate America, it just wasn't for me. So, I did it; I took a leap of faith and stepped down from my job. Faith is mentioned in the Bible many, many times. Hebrews 11:1 states: "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." Taking this leap of faith is both exciting and nerving. My job provided stable income and the benefits for my family. It's...
